Subject: a classic
Playin' reprise before drums after a very good Terrapin had me reeling.
The Dew was real powerful stuff leading me to obsess about this version.
I didn't love anything after, but all throughout 1981 I was perfectly contented.

Can't say I'm a huge fan of Joan Baez, but I've got respect for her. That said, I don't think her singing meshes very well w/ the Dead's playing or Garcia's voice.

GDTR>Dew into Darkstar? Friggin' amazing!

No fucking doubt. Phil's a little low in all the source tapes. I'll try the 24 bit and see how that sounds, but this Miller is a work of art.

Subject: complete
for completists, this is tops. we have all the joan baez "scare" (dolgushkin), kesey's complete "gong bong" and the chinese joke plus bobo's invite to breakfast.

not only that, there is solid sound unlike the muffled board that i've had for years. this is still one of my top 20. that playin-> terrapin-> playin' is outta sight!
